FedEx Lawsuit

The weekend edition of the Mid-Hudson News Network published a small but telling story of a brave Fedex ground driver who managed to somehow beat back an attempted carjacking while working on his route.  The details of the story appear below:

“A FedEx deliveryman was attacked Friday morning while on his route in Ulster County and Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two men in connection with the attack.

Police said the man, who they did not identify, stopped behind a dark colored late model Cadillac that was on Carney Road in Esopus.

A man jumped out of the car and assaulted the victim, hitting him several times in the head. The suspect then tried to pull the man out of the driver’s side window. The victim fought back and the suspect struck him in the face. At that point, the victim pushed open the door of the van, forcing the attacker away.

The man then jumped back into the Caddy and took off.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling to the right side of his forehead and was treated and released at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston.”
